My Everyday Makeup Routine

Using the KKW sooo Fire Palette

My everyday makeup routine is not super complicated, but keep in mind that I do allow myself about an hour to 45 minutes to do my makeup in the morning. I enjoy this part of my morning routine, and I find it very relaxing. Fortunately, I work a job that allows me to be as full glam or natural as I want to be. Some days I feel like going all out, somedays I do a little less. I would call this more of a medium glam look like I would probably do a little more if I was going out, but I have definitely done less.

Disclaimer: This is all for fun, I am not an MUA - I just watch a lot of makeup tutorials, these are all products that work for me, but that does not mean they will work for you so keep that in mind if you're here for recommendations.

Okay, so, my makeup collection is extensive.. but for this look, I chose some drug store products that I love and incorporated some of the higher-end products that I can't live without.

Primer: for primer, I used the Maybelline FaceStudio Master Prime Blur + Pore Minimize Primer. I was pretty skeptical about this primer at first because I don't always love water-based primers, but I heard this was a great dupe for the Smashbox Photo Finish Primer, and that is one of my die-hard favorites. While it is similar, I feel like the Smashbox Photo Finish Primer makes my makeup last a bit longer than this primer, but for a typical 8-hour workday, the FaceStudio Primer does that job. It's a pretty lightweight primer, and when I'm at work or in class, I don't want to feel like my makeup is caked on, so that's pretty important to me. It leaves my face looking smooth, and I have pretty large pores, and I can see a visibly minimized effect of the size of my pores after application. $9.99

Foundation: For everyday foundation, I actually use the Garnier SkinActive Miracle Skin Perfector BB Cream. I discovered this BB Cream almost 6 years ago, and it has been my go-to every time I'm looking for a BB Cream. I use the one formulated for Oily/Combo skin, and it's in the color light to medium. One downside is the color options of this BB Cream are slim to none, but luckily this one does a great job of matching my skin tone, and I can play around with contour and concealer if I need to fix the color up a bit. This is not a full coverage BB Cream, you are going to see pigment and discoloration through it. But it does what I need it too, which is even out my skin tone and make my skin appear a little bit my uniform if you will. I apply this with a damp beauty blender. $12.99

Cream Contour: for a subtle, quick cream contour, I use the Maybelline Fit Me Shine-Free Balance Stick Foundation in the color Toffee. I apply this in the hollows of my cheeks, right below my hairline, on my jawline, and then I will contour my nose and lips as well. I blend this in with a flat top foundation brush, and then I blend my nose contour with a beauty blender for my precision. This foundation stick blends beautifully and works incredibly as a cream contour. $8.99

Concealer: for concealer, I have been loving the NYX Can't Stop Won't Stop concealer in color Vanilla. I apply this on the center of my forehead, under my eyes, around my nose and mouth, and the center of my chin. It's a very lightweight concealer, but the coverage is impressive. It has a matte finish, which is my preference when it comes to foundation or concealer. It doesn't ever crease under my eyes or around my mouth, and finding a concealer that doesn't do that is hard to come by for me. I blend my concealer with a beauty blender. $8.50

Setting Powder: for setting powder I use the Maybelline Fit Me Loose Finish Powder in the color Light Medium. This setting powder leaves my skin looking flawless. It's pretty mattifying, which again, I love. My skin never looks or feels cakey. This is just a really nice powder. I apply my setting powder under my eyes with a smaller dense brush, and then I use a fluffy powder brush to set the rest of my face. $7.99

Eyeshadow: my eyeshadow really varies depending on the day, but typically on an everyday bases I take a brown eyeshadow from a Morphe palette on a fluffy eyeshadow brush and messily blend that into my crease and call it a day. Obviously, Today I used the KKW Sooo Fire Palette, so I did a little bit more of a sophisticated eye look. I'm gonna explain this the best I possibly can, but bare with me. I started out by taking color 1 on a fluffy eyeshadow brush and blending that into my crease, this color comes off lighter than it looks in the pan, so I build it up a little bit until I get the pigment I'm looking for. I then went in with color 2 which is a little darker so I took more of a dense eyeshadow brush and blended that right above my crease, I then went in with a clean fluffy eyeshadow brush and blended color 1 and 2 together. Once I got it blended I took color 3 and lightly applied that to the lid. I then took color 4 on a flat eyeshadow brush and applied it to the inner corner of my eye. I took color 5 and applied that right over it. I took color 3 and applied that to the brow bone. Lastly, I took color 1 and 2 and on a precision brush and applied that on my bottom lash line. I don't love this palette as much as I thought I would, the colors are beautiful, and they perform very well. I just don't think the tones go well with my skin tone or eye color, so I don't see myself using this much. $45.00

Contour: for powder contour, I use the 8L Lo-Fi Sculpt & Shimmer Palette. I mix the colors Literati and Donut on an angled brush and apply that everywhere I applied the cream contour. Next, I grab a fluffy brush and dip into the same colors and apply it in the same places just less precisely for a more bronzed effect on top of the contour. It's effortless to blend, and both the highlight and bronzers in this palette are super pigmented. $25.00

Blush: for blush, I use the Pixi by Petra Fresh Face Blush in Beach Rose. I'm not a huge blush person, but this color is stunning, and it applies and blends beautifully. I apply this with a large angled brush right above where I applied my bronzer. I also like to apply a little on the tip of my nose and on my forehead for a flushed look. They actually don't sell this anymore, so I do not have a price.

Highlight: for highlight, I used the IBY Radiant Glow Highlighter in Prosecco. This highlight is blinding. It's a pure champagne color that compliments my other face makeup really well. I'm not super picky about highlight, but I do really enjoy this. $24.00 for the Glow on the Go Kit, which is the only way to get this shade.

Eyebrows: Oh man.. so for my eyebrows, I start by lightly outlining them with the Morphe Micro Brow Pencil in the shade Java which is like a deep brown with neutral undertones. I fill them in with the Morphe Brow Cream in the color Chocolate Mousse, which is a soft black with neutral undertones and an eyebrow brush. I focus mostly on filling in the middle to the ends of my brow following the direction of my brow hairs and lightly blend the front of my eyebrow, switching to upward motions. I finish my brows by going in with the NYX Tinted Brow Mascara in the color Brown Black. This just blends the whole brow together and keeps all the hairs in place while adding a bit more pigment. It took a lot of trial and error for me to come up with this brow routine, but this is my go-to routine, and my brows have never looked better. Micro Brow Pencil $4.00 Brow Cream $6.00 Tinted Brow Mascara $7.50

Mascara: So I'm not a falsies ass bitch. I struggle to apply them, therefore I hardly ever wear them. Fortunately, my lashes are pretty long and full, so a good mascara gets the job done. I curl my lashes with a lash curler, and then I use the CoverGirl Full Lash Bloom mascara in the color blackest black (waterproof). This mascara leaves my lashes looking so fluttery and full. I love the way it looks. $7.99

Lips: I use this lipstick almost every single day, and I don't know what it is about this color, but I absolutely adore it. Milani Color Statement Matte Lipstick in the color Matte Naked. Before I apply this, I line my lips with the NYX Lip Liner in the shade Nude Pink. On just the center of my lips, I apply the Revolution Beauty Pout Bomb Plumping Lipgloss in the color Candy. I blend in with my finger, and this combo is just stunning. Color Statement Matte Lipstick $5.99 Lip Liner $5.00 Plumping Lipgloss $7.00

Setting Spray: for setting spray I use the CoverFx High-Performance Setting Spray. This setting spray is killer. Most makeup stays in place all day and usually still looks pretty damn good at the end of the day. I don't find my makeup separating or creasing at all. This stuff is bomb. $31.00

And that is it for my everyday Makeup Routine.
